And the result of planting all day. We have filled in an entire raised garden. Tomatoes in the back, peppers in front of them, then green beans and cucumbers. On the other side of fence, zucchini and squash. Happy growing!

New Season 2013
Finally. The warm weather arrived in Milwaukee. It is time we brought life back to our garden and yard.
A few things we are trying new this season:

Step 1: fertilize the garden with natural/manure-based fertilizer - check!

Step 2: get rid of unwanted, non-grass growth (aka weed) by spraying with a human/pet friendly mix:
- apple cider vinegar
- table salt
- Dawn dish soap

Step 3: refill all pots with soil-less potting mix! No wonder most of our potted plants never grow. Too much soil! Not enough room for plants to grow, breath and drain.
Work begins today! Updates coming up.
You too, have a fabulous gardening and summer season!

Peek-a-boo! This Year’s cucumbers are doing much better. No white moldy residue on leaves so far…:) we fertilized the soil before planting so maybe that brought balance back to the soil.
